WAIT
Waiting is difficult.
I don’t know anyone who likes to wait for very long. Whether we are waiting for news, for healing or a second chance; waiting is not easy. We try to manage it ourselves in many ways. Some of us use distractions. Some of us sit and worry (as if that will make things any better!) Others try and take matters into their own hands. Yet, when we read the Bible we realize that many of God’s people had to go through a time of waiting. What is more, that time was not wasted, it was God-ordained! While these men and women may have thought that time was standing still, God was working behind the scenes. God was also working in them.
On the cover of this book is a verse from the book of Isaiah. It is a promise that those who wait upon the Lord will renew their strength. This book will not only teach you about different people in the Bible who waited on the Lord, but it will also be your way to record your journey with the Lord as you WAIT. Each week will include days of prayer, personal Bible study, and devotions. It is our prayer that you will learn that drawing near to Jesus while waiting allows you to begin to understand His heart. You will realize that there is purpose in the waiting and that this period of waiting will fulfill His perfect plan.
