ON YOUR MARK: WEEK 4 DAY 4

Mark 4:8

8 And other seeds fell into good soil and produced grain, growing up and increasing and yielding thirtyfold and sixtyfold and a hundredfold.”

Mark 4:20

20 But those that were sown on the good soil are the ones who hear the word and accept it and bear fruit, thirtyfold and sixtyfold and a hundredfold.”

Good soil = Good crop.

When we spread the Gospel, how we do it matters. Jesus came honestly and lovingly. The same man, whom out of very little, fed 5000 men, along with the women and children with them, is also the one who flipped the tables of those selling items in the temple. Jesus was honest, because He loved us. We are sinners, it’s just a fact, but when we can see that as a truth about all of our lives, we can see why the Gospel is the good news!

We are set free by Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection. The good soil is soil that has been turned, mixed, and has been prepared for seed. We are the sower, planting the seed the farmer gave us, but it is the Holy Spirit who is the one who makes things grow.

Pray today that the Holy Spirit would prepare the soil where you are supposed to share Christ’s Word.
