DEVOTIONS
For us to dive into the word of God in our homes as an individual and with our families. We have created a way for you to engage in study, discussion and reflection based on the up-coming teaching.
WHY WE DO IT
Summer At Sea: Week 3 Day 1
Today’s Scripture gives us the names of the tribes that journeyed to Egypt during the famine; the total number, according to Genesis 46:8-27 was 70 people (not including the women). God used the amazing life of Joseph to rescue His people and settle them in this new land.
Summer At Sea: Week 2 Day 6
With this we conclude our exploration of Noah, and we see, what I think, is some of the most interesting imagery in Scripture. When God hangs up His rainbow, it appears like a soldier putting away His bow. He is no longer at war with humanity, but instead He fights for us.
Summer At Sea: Week 2 Day 5
Why did God want to fill the earth immediately after the flood? Do you make a bed for no one to sleep in, or prepare a spot at the table for no one to be?
Summer At Sea: Week 2 Day 4
What does this Scripture mean? This seems out of left field to move from the dominion of mankind to talking about drinking blood and murder. What is important, however, is that God is re-establishing the sanctity of human life.
Summer At Sea: Week 2 Day 3
The passage above is called the dominion mandate, and it is one of my favorite recent discoveries in my Biblical journey. The dominion mandate calls for us to subdue the earth beneath our feet for God.
