WHY WE DO IT
ON YOUR MARK: WEEK 5 DAY 1
Jesus had just finished teaching several parables as evening approached. As they set the boats toward the opposite shore, Jesus falls asleep, wearied, showing the disciples His complete humanity. When the water began filling the boat, and the waves and the wind blew wildly, none of it woke Jesus.

Things we desire in life such as wealth, power, and status are a distraction from our purpose. The life of a Christian is supposed to reflect the life of Jesus. Jesus wasn’t rich, even though he created everything. Jesus didn’t suppress people, even though He is God.
