WE BELIEVE IT IS ESSENTIAL
DEVOTIONS
For us to dive into the word of God in our homes as an individual and with our families. We have created a way for you to engage in study, discussion and reflection based on the up-coming teaching.
WHY WE DO IT
Summer At Sea: Week 12 Day 1
Godly, good friends are such a blessing. We can learn from them, be encouraged by them, and share in life together. Our friends can pray for us and speak into our lives in so many ways. It would be a difficult thing to journey through life without godly friends.
Summer At Sea: Week 11 Day 6
People who merely touched Jesus’ cloak were healed. Here we see in startling display of the “greater things” mentioned yesterday. For it was merely Peter’s shadow that brought healing. In fact the early apostles performed many miracles recorded in Acts, but let's not forget why this was happening.
Summer At Sea: Week 11 Day 5
I remember once when my daughter said she wanted to be like me. All I thought was, you are already so much more than me! That is a relatively normal sentiment for a parent. We see our kids as stronger, faster, smarter, kinder, and more capable than we ever were. But how could Jesus say that His followers would do even greater things than He had done?!
Summer At Sea: Week 11 Day 4
I like to workout with headphones in, even when I am the only one home. So, sometimes, when my husband arrives home from work and hears the treadmill he carefully calls to me, “Hey, it’s me, I’m home.” He doesn’t want me to be afraid, and so he identifies himself.
Summer At Sea: Week 11 Day 3
Don’t worry, this isn’t a misprint. You read the story of Jesus walking on the water yesterday, from the book of Matthew; today we read Mark’s account. In this account, Mark makes a special note. He says that the disciples were completely amazed because they hadn’t understood about the loaves and fishes.
