I once was talking to a friend about another person I knew who did not yet know God. The person whom we were discussing was going the opposite direction of the Lord in virtually every way; this made me frustrated and sad.

Have you ever seen someone being made an example of? Maybe you were an athlete, and someone was ignoring the coach, resulting in them having to do an unbearable amount of burpees. Maybe you saw someone get fired at work for something that was wrong, but everyone did anyway.

Sometimes God’s judgment is a tough pill to swallow. We don’t always like the conversation of God pouring out His wrath against the wicked, but ultimately we need to see these things for what they are.

Talk about the relative no one wants to bring up at family get-togethers, Manasseh did it all! Manasseh wasn’t the first of his kind, but he was described as in the lineage of Ahab, a king so evil he was judged by the Lord (2 Kings 21).

I remember taking a trip to the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY. It’s not heaven, but for a lover of the game, it is as close as I’m going to get. I remember looking at the baseball memorabilia – it was inspiring!
