Abraham was the man that God chose out of obscurity and promised to make him into a great nation. Abraham believed God, but as time wore on, he and his wife Sarah got a little antsy.

Everywhere we turn, we are met with the false narrative that we need more - more money, more clothes, better vehicles, big vacations, the latest and the greatest.  Possessions, security, and safety can become what we work toward, blinding us from what truly matters in life.

A true relationship with God entails understanding and confessing that we are completely and utterly dependent on Him.  It recognizes that we are sinful to the core, only good and made new by Christ’s redeeming work on the cross.

King Solomon had more wealth, wisdom, and fame than any other king. Today we learn that he also had a total of 1000 wives and concubines.  These women were from various nations outside of Israel and Solomon’s marital choices were in complete violation of God’s commands.

Over the last week, we have read about King Solomon who had more wealth, wisdom, and fame than any other king before or after him. It's unfathomable to picture his life as we learn about Solomon’s unmatched way of living.
